Media Coalition for Development Cancels Planned Demonstration in Obuasi
The Media Coalition for Development, Adansi (MCD) has announced the cancellation of its planned demonstration in Obuasi.
The decision comes after GRIDCo and ECG informed the organization that the power supply system in the area has been restored.
The MCD had scheduled the demonstration to raise concerns about power outages in the area.
However, with the power supply now restored, the organization has deemed it unnecessary to proceed with the protest. According to Robert Anokye Gyamfi, Chairman of MCD, “We appreciate the zeal and enthusiasm shown by those who were willing to participate and assure them that we value their commitment to the cause.”
The MCD looks forward to working with stakeholders and the general public in future endeavors. They appreciate the understanding and cooperation shown in this matter.
This development highlights the importance of timely communication and collaboration between stakeholders and organizations in addressing community concerns.
The MCD’s decision to cancel the demonstration demonstrates a willingness to work with relevant authorities to resolve issues affecting the community.
