St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Celebrates Rededication and New Facilities.

Rededication blessing of new facilities at  St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bohyen-Ampabame, Kumasi, marked a significant milestone on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, led a Mass to thank God for the magnificent new facilities.

New Facilities
The church’s new facilities include:

– A beautiful Adoration Chapel built by Mr. and Mrs. Osei and their children, Patrick and Vera.

– Our Lady of Assumption Sanctuary built by Mr. Cosmos Awuah Kwakye.

– Renovated church building with modern amenities, including air conditioning, comfortable seating, and facilities for nursing mothers.

– A new font for baptism.

– A well-resourced Parish Priest Office

The Archbishop expressed his admiration and appreciation for the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Bernard Bakhaita Owusu Kwarteng, and the faithful parishioners.

He noted that the projects were completed in just eight months, which he described as unprecedented.
