St. Francis Xavier Parish Abofour Donates Medical Equipment to St. Jerome SHS Sick Bay.

Abofour, Ghana – St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi has donated medical equipment to the sick bay of St. Jerome Senior High School (SHS) in Abofour.

The sick bay was built by Nana Sarpong, Mpehihene of the Offinso Traditional Council, and the donation is part of the parish’s efforts to support the school community.

Rev. Fr. Peter Addai-Karikari, representing the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Edward Yeboah Biney, presented the equipment, emphasizing the importance of health in academic success. “A student who’s healthy in mind and body is a better learner,” he said.

Fr. Addai-Karikari noted that the donation is a demonstration of the church’s love for the school and its commitment to promoting good health.

“We may not be able to provide all the equipment needed, but this is a start,” he said.

The Headmistress of St. Jerome SHS expressed gratitude for the donation, promising to take good care of the equipment.

The Head Girls’ Prefect appealed to other stakeholders to support the school in various ways, citing the example set by St. Francis Xavier Parish.

The donation is part of the parish’s ongoing efforts to support the school community and promote the mission of Jesus Christ.
