Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny Embark on Spiritual Renewal Journey
The Congregation of the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny, Province of West Africa, has organized a month-long spiritual renewal program for its Temporary Professed Sisters.
The program, which runs, brings together 13 sisters from The Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Ghana at Javouhey House, Leicester peak, Freetown.
The spiritual renewal aims to foster personal and communal growth among the young sisters, helping them to deepen their faith and commitment to the Cluny Spirit.
During the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Rev. Fr. Joseph Karbo, Rector of St. Paul’s Major Seminary, Freetown, encouraged the sisters to allow God to work within them and to remain open to His guidance.
The sisters expressed gratitude to Sr. Angela Bangura, Provincial Superior, and her Council for providing this enriching opportunity.
Special appreciation also goes to Sr. Marie Madeleine Lepcha, who traveled from India to journey with the sisters, and Sr. Josephine Kamanda, the Mistress for Temporary Professed Sisters in the Province of West Africa.
This spiritual renewal journey is expected to strengthen the sisters’ commitment to their vocation and service.
