Rev. Fr. John Oppong Sarfo CSSP Inspires Hope and Unity at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

In a stirring sermon at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Krofrom, Kumasi, Rev. Fr. John Oppong Sarfo C.S.Sp delivered a heartfelt message that ignited faith, gratitude, and unity among the congregation.

Fr. Sarfo reminded believers that true joy is not found in material possessions but in the gift of life itself.

“Whether you had food, meat, or gifts to enjoy during Christmas or not, give thanks to God for what matters most is that you are alive, and blood and water still flow,” he declared, urging all to treasure the divine gift of existence.

He called on Christians to embrace spiritual growth, reflect on their actions, and commit to living lives rooted in truth, justice, and peace.

His words carried a challenge and a promise: that unity in faith can transform communities and nations.

Fr. Sarfo’s message also placed a spotlight on leadership, reminding all that authority is a sacred trust:

Politicians should Serve the people faithfully, create just laws, and champion development.

Traditional Leaders (Nananom) are to Protect our communities, lead with integrity, and safeguard the land and its natural resources.

Priests are to Foster peace and unity, and proclaim the Word of God with courage.

The Christian faithful and all religious communities should stand together, obey rightful laws, and lift leaders in prayer.

His sermon was more than a homily it was a clarion call for collective responsibility.

Fr. Sarfo urged Christians and community leaders alike to join hands, support one another, and work toward shared goals that uplift society.

His message of hope and unity continues to echo in the hearts of the faithful, reminding all that when gratitude and responsibility meet, communities flourish and God’s light shines brbrighter.
