Resilience and Hope: SCA Ghana Supports Survivors of Human Trafficking.
Safe Child Advocacy (SCA), a Ghana-based organization, is making strides in the fight against human trafficking.
In a heartwarming update, the organization shared the story of Adaora Nkem, a 16-year-old Nigerian girl who was trafficked to Ghana and subsequently rescued through the efforts of SCA and community members.
Adaora’s ordeal began when she was approached by a woman from her community, who promised her a job in Ghana. However, upon arrival, she was placed in an exploitative situation.
With the help of a Good Samaritan, Adaora was able to escape and receive support from SCA.
SCA’s Drop-In Centre has also been providing shelter and support to several victims of trafficking, including two new arrivals from Burkina Faso.
The organization is working to reunite these survivors with their families and provide them with the necessary care and support.
SCA’s work is a testament to the power of community and collaboration in combating human trafficking.
The organization’s efforts are making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children and survivors of trafficking.
