Renewed Hearts, Renewed Hope: SCA Launches 2026 with Purpose.

Safe-Child Advocacy (SCA) has officially begun its 2026 work year with a heartwarming ceremony, recommitting to serve children, youth, and women in vulnerable situations.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, SCA’s Drop-in Centre and St. Vincent de Paul Day Care units opened their doors on January 12, 2026, with a prayer led by Ms. Eugenia Akoto-Mensah and a powerful reflection by Mr. Akwasi Prempeh.

Mr. Akwasi Prempeh shared a powerful reflection from Romans Chapter 5, encouraging  to embrace love, patience, kindness, and compassion—values that define Safe Child Advocacy SCA’s mission. He concluded that,

“Do not seek your own interest but the interest of others,” a principle that truly resonates with the work we do for those in vulnerable situations.

Staff reflected on the question Philippians 2:3-4:
“How am I coming into work this year 2026?”
Responses included:
“I feel motivated,” “I feel inspired,” “I feel energized,” “I feel happy,” “I feel strongly connected to the team

The team reflected on values like love, patience, and compassion, and shared positive attributes about each colleague. Staff members received personal diaries to record milestones, inspired by Habakkuk 2:2.

“We’re excited about the difference we’ll make together in 2026,” Sr. Olivia Umoh, DC, said. Follow SCA’s journey throughout 2026 as they impact lives!
