POLICE RETRIEVE ONE AK-47 AT TEMA

The Tema Regional Police Command on Thursday, 24th July 2025, retrieved one (1) AK-47 assault rifle, which was abandoned by two unknown persons near the Tema General Hospital in the Greater Accra Region.

Initial investigation has revealed that officers deployed on patrol duties observed suspicious activity involving a motorbike parked close to the hospital.

As the police team approached, the suspects fled the scene, abandoning a sack that was later found to contain a loaded AK-47 assault rifle.

The weapon has since been recovered, while efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspects.
