Police Engage Community Leaders to Calm Tensions and Enhance Security.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) have held separate engagements with community leaders in Asawase and Tulaku to address security concerns and promote peaceful coexistence.
The IGP and his team met with key stakeholders in Asawase, reinforcing ongoing security efforts and directing the establishment of a Formed Police Unit (FPU) base in the area.
Additional police checkpoints have been mounted at entry and exit routes to enhance security.
In Tulaku, POMAB members met with leaders of the Kusasi and Mamprusi communities, as well as the Cattle Dealers Association, to discuss concerns and reaffirm the Police Service’s commitment to peace and cooperation.
The Police Administration will continue to work closely with security agencies and stakeholders to improve security nationwide.
Community leaders and youth groups are being engaged to foster peace, protect lives, and ensure security and law enforcement.
