Peacemaker Severely Injured in Machete Attack at Adansi Patakro
A 43-year-old man, Yaw Frank, has been severely injured in a machete attack at Patakro, a community in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred when Frank intervened in a fight between a 16-year-old boy and a man identified as Desmond Amatey.
According to eyewitnesses, Amatey allegedly wielded the machete to strike the teenager but accidentally wounded Frank instead, slicing his palm and leaving it severely injured.
The confrontation began after the minor allegedly took Amatey’s work gear without his consent, which escalated into a physical fight.
The incident has left the community shocked, and an investigation is likely underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Frank’s actions as a peacemaker were aimed at preventing the situation from escalating, but unfortunately, he became the victim of the violent altercation.
