OFFINSO NORTH MP KICKS OFF EASTER FOOTBALL GALA, PROMISES SCHOLARSHIPS AND GH¢18,000 TO WINNING TEAM

Akumadan, Offinso North – Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, the MP for Offinso North, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the youth of the district by organizing the Inter-Zonal Easter Football Gala at the Akumadan Lion AstroTurf.

At the kickoff ceremony on 3rd April,2026 marking the third  term of the inter zonal game’s organised and powered by Dr.Fred Kyei Asamoah.

Dr Asamoah shared his vision for the future of Offinso North’s youth, emphasizing the need to nurture and support their talents.
As part of his Andisoc Scholarship Assistance Program, he promised to award scholarships to students within the winning team and give GH¢18,000 to the team that lifts the trophy.

“We need to help our youth and encourage them,” Dr Asamoah said.

“What they’ve seen in advanced countries can be replicated here in Offinso North. The players we’ve seen in top leagues started like them.”

The MP also hinted at plans to organize more events to showcase the talents of Offinso North’s youth, covering various sports.

He urged fellow MPs to work with what they have to support the young generation, and for sports authorities to take youth sports seriously, helping them gain confidence to excel locally and internationally.
