Offinso Municipal Assembly Empowers Persons with Disabilities

The Offinso Municipal Assembly has disbursed GHC218,220.00 to 41 persons with disabilities to support their education, health, and income-generating activities.

Addressing the ceremony, Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Owusu Amoah, emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities, citing the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2006 (Act 715).

The funds support education, apprenticeships, health, and income-generating activities, with some beneficiaries receiving cheques for perishable items.

Hon. Amoah urged beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously and those yet to benefit to exercise patience as applications are processed.
