Obuasi West Residents Lament Flooding Issues, Call on New MCE for Help

Residents of Obuasi Bediem, particularly those living near Abundant Grace School, have expressed disappointment with the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Elijah Adansi Bonah, over the handling of flooding issues in their area.

The residents claim that the drainage systems in the area are inadequate, leading to severe flooding during rainfall.

According to Mr. Kofi Badu, a victim of the flooding, he nearly lost his life last year due to the flooding and had to bear the cost of hospital bills and other expenses himself.

Madam Faustina, another resident, expressed concern about the safety of her newborn baby during rainfall, stating that the flooding situation makes it difficult for her to manage her home.

The residents are now calling on the new MCE, Hon. Faustylove Appiah Kannin, to intervene and address the flooding issues in their area.

They expressed their trust in her administration and government, hoping that she will come to their aid and provide the necessary support to alleviate their suffering.
