Numo Kofi Anum Family Reclaims Land After 33-Year Dispute

The Numo Kofi Anum family of Tesa has officially taken possession of a large stretch of land previously held by Regimanuel Grey Limited, following a High Court judgement and formal possession order.

The land, spanning 123 acres, was originally entrusted to the company in 1991 for development into a real estate enclave.

According to the family, Regimanuel Grey Limited allegedly paid only GH₵2,000 for the vast acreage and failed to meet the terms of the agreement, including developing the land as promised.

After 33 years, the family sought justice through the legal process, resulting in a court ruling in their favour on June 24, 2025.

Despite the court’s decision, Regimanuel Grey Limited has allegedly taken unlawful steps to block the family from accessing their land, including hiring landguards to prevent them from setting foot on the property.

The family insists that they are not targeting developed parts of the estate or displacing anyone who resides lawfully on the land but are determined to reclaim the remaining undeveloped land.

The Numo Kofi Anum family has turned to the country’s leadership for assistance in ensuring that justice is enforced.

They are appealing directly to President John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector General of Police to intervene and help enforce the court’s ruling fairly and peacefully.

The family maintains that their fight is not just about reclaiming land but also about upholding the rule of law and honouring the legacy of their forefathers who originally entrusted the land to the developers in good faith.
