NPP Government Initiated Chip Embedded Passport Program – Bosome Freho MP.
Nana Kwame Asafo Agyei Ayeh, Member of Parliament for Bosome Freho and Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, has disputed claims by the NDC government regarding the issuance of chip-embedded passports.
According to Hon. Ayeh, the Nana Addo-led NPP government initiated the chip-embedded passport program.

He challenged Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa to provide data and approval records to support the NDC’s claims.
Hon. Ayeh cited examples of prominent individuals who possess chip-embedded passports, including former President Nana Addo and former Chief of Staff, Fremah Akosuah Opare, as evidence that the program predates the current administration.
Regarding recent travel restrictions imposed by the US government on its citizens traveling to Ghana, Hon. Ayeh urged the government to intervene and restore diplomatic relations between the two nations.

He warned that Ghana’s reputation as a chaotic scene could deter investors and harm the economy.
