“No More Warnings”: Interior Minister Issues Stern Warning to Drug Abusers at Damba Festival.

Kumasi, Ghana – Hon. Muntaka Mubarack Mohammed, Ghana’s Interior Minister and MP for Asawase Constituency, has issued a stark warning to youth involved in drug abuse at the Ashanti Region Gonja Annual Damba Festival.

Addressing the crowd, Hon. Muntaka emphasized the government’s commitment to combating drug abuse, stating, “I have seen a lot of youth here today… If you fail to stop taking hard drugs like tramadol, cocaine, weed, and others, we will not get tired of chasing you.”

The Minister warned that those caught with drugs will face consequences, urging youth to desist from such activities before it’s too late.

“Don’t fall victim before we arrest you… If you’re caught, don’t bother coming to plead, because I am your own,” he said.

Hon. Muntaka’s warning underscores the government’s efforts to address the growing concern of drug abuse in Ghana, particularly among the youth.
