Minority Urges Government Intervention for Stranded Scholarship Students
The Minority on Parliament’s Education Committee has issued an urgent call for government intervention to address a severe financial crisis affecting Ghanaian scholarship beneficiaries studying abroad.
Led by MP for Offinso North, Fred Kyei Asamoah, the caucus expressed grave concern over distressing reports indicating that government-sponsored students in various countries, including the US and UK, are facing imminent eviction, deregistration, and potential deportation.
The affected students are reportedly struggling to cope with the financial crisis, and the Minority is urging the government to take immediate action to prevent a disastrous outcome.
“We call on Government to immediately attend to these students,” the MP emphasized.
