Majority Leader Appeals to Asantehene to Expedite Bawku Peace Talks

Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has made a desperate appeal to the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, to expedite action on the Bawku peace talks following the recent escalation of violence in the conflict-torn area.

At least 6 persons have been killed in Bawku, allegedly by military operatives conducting an operation in the area.

“We need the Asantehene’s intervention to restore calm and ensure peace in Bawku. The situation is getting out of hand, and we can’t afford to lose more lives.” – Mahama Ayariga, Majority Leader.
