Historic Pull-Out Ceremony Honors DCFO Joy Ameyibor Ayim.
A historic and emotional Pull-Out Ceremony held at the Volta Regional Headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), in honor of Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Joy Ameyibor Ayim.

The ceremony marked both his 60th birthday and his retirement from active service after over 35 years of dedication, discipline, and leadership.

During the symbolic handover, DCFO Joy Ameyibor Ayim officially transferred the administrative and operational command of the Volta Region to the substantive Deputy Regional Commander, ACFO I Freeman Tetteh.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Chief Fire Officer’s representative, DCFO James Owusu Agyei, the Director of Rural Fires, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, and other esteemed members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC).
Also present were Regional Commanders from Oti and Eastern Regions, officers from Cape Coast, Tema, and Swedru, along with Course and Cadet Intake mates, family, friends, and well-wishers from all walks of life.

The ceremony was marked by the presentation of parting gifts, glowing citations, and words of deep appreciation in recognition of DCFO Ayim’s hard work, kindness, and thoughtfulness throughout his decades of service.
The Pull-Out Ceremony, the first of its kind in the region, was a testament to DCFO Ayim’s distinguished career and his impact on the Ghana National Fire Service.
As he begins his retirement, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication, discipline, and leadership that will continue to inspire future generations of firefighters.
