GOVERNMENT URGED TO SPEED UP MEASURES TO LEGALIZE PRAGYA OPERATION.
Bono Regional Organizer and Sunyani Chairman for the Pragya Riders Association, Mr yaw Eric Atanga, has made a humble appeal to the National road Safety Authority (NRSA), and the NDC government to speed up measures to legalize the operation of Pragya Business, as captured in their manifesto.
Earlier in May this year, the NRSA announced a soon legalization of the Pragya operation, but the process has since seen no improvement.
The Pragya riders association has been lamenting what they see as harassment by MTTD and the Ghana Police Service since they are not legally allowed to operate as commercial means of transport.
Speaking on the Safety and Security Watch program Saturday, the Sunyani Chairman of the Pragya Riders, Mr Atanga, urged the government to stick to his promise of legalizing Pragya in Ghana.
He highlighted some of the benefits in Pragya Operation, most especially helping to eliminate unemployment in Ghana.
According to complains from passengers who uses the pragya in Sunyani, especially from Penkwase to the Daily market, these young Pragya riders seems to very disrespectful and mischievous, but Mr Atanga used the medium to caution his members to desist from such acts, saying there are sanctions for any culprit.
