GNFS RESCUES A MATE FROM A VEHICULAR ACCIDENT AT KUNTUSO TECHIMAN – KUMASI HIGHWAY
A telephone call was received at the Techiman Metro Fire Station reporting a vehicular accident involving a DAF Long truck with registration number GX-8042-22 transporting about six hundred (600) bags of cement from Offinso to Drobo and a Hajue motorbike.
According to GNFS, rescue crew was quickly dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, it was noticed that the cement truck had veered off the road and fell into the Tano River in an attempt to save the rider of the motor bike.
The crew rescued the mate of the cement truck who was trapped in the cowl and handed him over to the Ambulance Service for medical attention.
A greater number of bags of cement were salvaged as well.
