GHANCYC Extends Goodwill Message to Kumasi Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Council

GHANCYC Extends Goodwill Message to Kumasi Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Council.

The Ghana National Catholic Youth Council (GHANCYC) has extended a goodwill message to the Kumasi Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Council on the occasion of their 49th Annual General Council Meeting (AGCM). The theme of the meeting is “Jubilee Year: A Time to Proclaim Christ; Hope for the Church and Ghana.”

In the message, GHANCYC urges youth leaders to approach the process of electing new Archdiocesan Youth Leaders with discernment, transparency, and a focus on identifying candidates who will uphold the values of the Gospel and advance the mission of youth ministry.

The council emphasizes the importance of leadership integrity, vision, and dedication, stating that “Leadership is not merely a title but a sacred trust.”

GHANCYC’s message also highlights the vital role of young people in the Church’s mission, citing Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation Christus Vivit, which reminds us that “Young people themselves are agents of youth ministry.”

The council encourages youth leaders to deliberate with unity, purpose, and fidelity to Christ, and to renew their commitment to inspiring others.

The AGCM is expected to ignite a renewed sense of purpose and responsibility among youth leaders, and GHANCYC assures its continued support and prayers to the national youth fraternity.

The council wishes the Kumasi Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Council a successful and grace-filled AGCM, saying “Ad multos annos! Long live the Catholic Youth of Kumasi! Long live the Church in Ghana!”
