Ghana Police Service Successfully Rescues Two Kidnapped Women from Nigeria.
The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and the National Signals Bureau, has successfully rescued two Ghanaian women, Evelyn Sewa Konadu and Anastasia Baidoo, who were kidnapped and trafficked to Nigeria.

The victims were received at Kotoka International Airport today at 1:45 pm on an Africa World Airlines flight from Abuja, marking a successful end to their ordeal.

DCOP Lydia Yaako Donkor, Director-General of the CID, expressed appreciation to all officers involved in the operation and gratitude to the Director-General of the Research Department for their contributions to the successful rescue mission.
The victims were lured to Nigeria through a Facebook romance scam, where they were held captive and subjected to physical abuse.
The joint effort between the Ghana Police Service, Nigeria Police Force, and the National Signals Bureau led to their rescue.
