Ghana Integrated Health Partnership Project Trains Abofouman Community on Neonatal Danger Signs
The Ghana Integrated Health Partnership project organized a day-long training for the Abofouman community on recognizing danger signs in neonates and the importance of seeking immediate healthcare.
In an interview with Dominic Duut, Medical Superintendent for St. Patrick’s Hospital, Dr. Felicia Anokye explained that the hospital was fortunate to be selected for the project and is committed to providing similar orientations to other healthcare facilities within the Ashanti region.
Dr. Anokye advised pregnant individuals and new mothers to be vigilant and seek medical attention promptly if they notice any danger signs in their newborns.
She emphasized the importance of swift action and encouraged community members to visit St. Patrick’s Hospital or nearby healthcare facilities if they suspect any health issues with their babies.
The training aimed to empower community members with knowledge on neonatal health and promote timely interventions to improve health outcomes for newborns.
