GHANA & GERMANY JOIN FORCES ON SUSTAINABLE ENERGY’S

 

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, paid a visit to the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) on [Date], where he was joined by the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu.

The high-profile visit aimed to inspect innovative student-led technologies and launch a major project that underscores the strong partnership between Ghana and Germany.

During the visit, the dignitaries inspected a range of cutting-edge student projects at KTI, showcasing the institution’s commitment to innovation and skills development.

They also jointly performed the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the Centre of Excellence in Green Energy Technology, a €5.6 million project supported by the Government of Germany.

The project is expected to advance education, research, and sustainable energy innovation in Ghana, further solidifying the growing partnership between Ghana and Germany.

The collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to skills development, environmental sustainability, and industrial innovation.

The Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, expressed sincere appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, for his transparent and accountable leadership, which has attracted meaningful international partnerships and investments.

He also thanked President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Government of Germany for their unwavering support and friendship.
