Ghana Armed Forces Civilian Employee’s Body Parts Found in Sokode-Juaso Bush 10 Days After Disappearance”

The decomposed body parts of Samuel Yeboah, a 45-year-old civilian employee of the Ghana Armed Forces stationed at Burma Camp, have been discovered in a bush at Sokode-Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality, ten days after he was reported missing.

According to Yeboah’s family, the incident stems from a dispute over a mobile phone. On November 15, 2025, Yeboah visited his family and was informed by a young woman of a misunderstanding involving a phone she had attempted to sell but later decided to reclaim.

When the buyer allegedly refused to return the device, Yeboah reportedly went to the man’s home around 6:00 p.m. to retrieve it, which escalated into a confrontation.

During the altercation, the suspect’s father—described as a hunter—allegedly entered the room, fired a gun, and inflicted multiple cutlass wounds on Yeboah.

The two suspects are believed to have dismembered the body and buried the parts at different locations in the bush.

The father has since been arrested, while his son remains at large. Authorities say the father initially refused to reveal the location of the body parts.

Traditional authorities in Sokode-Juaso, led by Nana Kwadwo Opare, Gyaasehene, performed rituals on November 25, 2025, which reportedly guided the discovery of the remains.

“My brother visited Sokode Dwaso, and after the incident, the father refused to disclose the whereabouts of the body to the police. We went to Akupem to perform rituals, and today we were led to the bush where the remains were found,” Nana Opare said.

Crime scene investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have visited the area to collect evidence.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fugitive, while the father in custody is expected to be arraigned before court on preliminary charges.
