Ga North MCE Cracks Down on Littering, Warns of Legal Action.

The Municipal chief executive of Ga North, Hon. Akwetey Agbo has Cautioned those involved in littering.

He then assured them the full application of the law if anyone found Culpable.

His warning stems from President John Dramani Mahama’s initiative of promoting good sanitation under the supervision of the various assemblies.

Hon. Akwetey Agbo, during his engagement with Wood Traders at Muus, Spot -M and other parts of the Municipality called on them to adopt proper way of disposing refuse.

He underscored the cost involved in fighting the menace by the government.

The MCE’s Public education was accompanied by some officers of the assembly including the Assembly member for Tantra Hills, Hon. Yaw Berko and the Ga North Municipal sanitation field Officer, Edward Adoma.

Speaking with Okogyeabour Ocran, MCE called for urgent compliance of the law as the country suffer series of flooding in the area.

He revealed in his assertions how people use Mentally challenged people to dispose off their refuse to avoid costs.

He explained that, most of the people pack the rubbish in sacks and polythene and later hire the services of these Mentally disoriented to dispose them which at the end leaving it on the Streets.

On his Part, the Assembly member for Tantra Hills elctoral area, Hon. Yaw Berko pledged his full support in promoting good health and sanitation within his jurisdiction.
