Eze Igbo Palace Sets Record Straight on Land Acquisition Rumors

The Eze Igbo Palace has denied reports circulating on social media that King Eze Ndi Igbo has acquired 50 acres of land at Ningo Prampram in the Greater Accra Region to establish an “Igbo Village.” Chief Dr. Aniekwe Obiorah, Traditional Prime Minister and Special Assistant to King Eze Ndi Igbo Ghana, stated that the claims are false.

“We want to state decisively and without reservation that we have not currently acquired any land in Ningo or elsewhere in Ghana to establish an Igbo Village,” Chief Obiorah emphasized.

According to Chief Obiorah, the Ningo Chief had offered Eze Ndi Igbo a large tract of land for investment purposes, but the deal did not materialize due to ongoing litigation over the land.

The palace also addressed the age of the video being shared, pointing out that King Eze Ndi Igbo appears much younger in the video than he does today.

Chief Obiorah called for unity and peace among Ghanaians, condemning hate speech and divisive rhetoric on social media. He urged Ghanaians to come together and foster love and understanding.

Richard Osei Bonsu, a Ghana-Nigeria relation, also denied claims that King Eze Ndi Igbo plans to establish an Igbo kingdom in Ghana, highlighting the king’s significant contributions to Ghana, including investments and support for the homeless.
