The Safe Child Advocacy is combating Human trafficking and hosted an impactful end-of-year workshop and chrismas celebration for vulnerable young women working as head porters (kayaye) in Kumasi.
The event, held at Safe Child Advocacy SCA’s Drop-in Centre, brought together 76 participants from Kumasi Central Market, Kejetia (Dubai), Roman Hill, and surrounding areas.

The workshop addressed critical issues like child marriage and forced marriage, empowering attendees to assert their rights and avoid harmful practices.
Facilitators educated participants on refusing unwanted unions and making informed choices about their lives.

The event culminated in a festive party with music, dance competitions, prizes, and nourishing meals. Participants celebrated the year’s blessings and looked forward with hope.
Safe-Child Advocacy encouraged attendees to share their newfound knowledge with peers and spread kindness and love during the Christmas season and beyond.
The initiative aimed to support the young women’s empowerment and well-being, highlighting safe child Advocacy Cause commitment to protecting vulnerable children and youth.
