Empowering Girls to Combat Human Trafficking: Talitha Kum Ghana Holds Awareness Program
Breman Asikuma, Ghana – Talitha Kum Ghana, in collaboration with Youth Ambassadors, has organized a human trafficking awareness program at Breman Asikuma Catholic Girls School.
The Team Members who were Present was Sr. Ignitia Boabeng (HHCJ),Sr. Linda Ojawuri (JMJ),Sr. Bertha Apenu (JMJ) and Mr. Theophilus Nana Sarfo (AFJN).

The session aimed to educate and empower young girls to recognize the dangers of human trafficking and exploitation.
The program covered key topics, including understanding human trafficking, prevention strategies, and empowerment through knowledge.
Students learned about safe migration, verifying job offers, and reporting suspicious activities.
Youth Ambassadors played a vital role in leading discussions and inspiring their peers to become advocates against trafficking.

Talitha Kum Ghana and Safe-Child Advocacy recently accompanied six victims of human trafficking who had been rescued and sheltered.
The survivors received care, counseling, and support to return to their families. Two of the victims are young women with babies, making the process more challenging.
One victim has been reunited with the sisters at St. Bakhita Home in Lagos, Nigeria, thanks to collaboration and the efforts of Sr. Olivia.
Two other families expressed appreciation for the organization’s work, sharing their loved ones’ safe return home.

The program is part of Talitha Kum Ghana’s commitment to fighting human trafficking through education and community engagement, ensuring young people are informed and empowered to prevent exploitation.
