A violent altercation at Bobo Shanti, a notorious pub in Nkawkaw, has claimed two lives. The first victim, Baba Salau, was allegedly stabbed to death by a pub attendant during a dispute over a cigarette. Eyewitnesses describe the confrontation as sudden and deadly.

In a heartbreaking twist, a local meat vendor, known for his popular chinchinga (kebabs), collapsed and died shortly after learning of the incident. This man had previously lost his son in a similar stabbing incident at the same location two years ago, compounding the community’s grief.

The double tragedy has sparked outrage among Nkawkaw residents, many of whom are demanding the immediate closure and demolition of Bobo Shanti. Some angry locals have already vandalized parts of the establishment in protest.

Baba Salau’s body has been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary in Nkawkaw. The suspect remains at large, and a manhunt is currently underway. Authorities have urged calm as investigations continue.

Residents are calling for increased security measures and stricter regulation to prevent further loss of life in the area. The incident highlights concerns about safety and the need for effective measures to address the root causes of violence in the community.
