“Didn’t Check if it was Eric Johnson in the Car” – Security Man Testifies in Court

 

A security man, Kweku Kankumbata, has testified in the Wa High Court that he didn’t check to confirm the identity of the person driving Eric Johnson’s vehicle out of a hotel on the day he was murdered.

Kweku Kankumbata is the third accused person in the murder case of Eric Johnson, CEO of Royal Cossy Hill Safari Resort.

During cross-examination on July 18, 2025, Kweku Kankumbata stated that Eric Johnson had cautioned them not to stop him when entering or leaving the hotel.

“Eric Johnson warned us [Security] not to prevent him from Coming in or Going Out by Stopping him,” Kweku Kankumbata testified.

The case has been adjourned till July 22, 2025, for records of court proceedings to be collated. Eric Johnson was murdered in his presidential villa in February 2024, and the trial is ongoing.
