Dawn Crash in Asante Akim Central: GNFS Rescues Two
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued two persons trapped in a crash involving two trailers at the Three Lane stretch in Asante Akim Central. The incident occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at dawn, and involved a Nigeria-bound Man Diesel trailer and another trailer.
The Konongo-Odumase Fire Station responded promptly to the distress call, and a rescue team led by LFM Siale applied specialized techniques to safely extricate the trapped victims. The rescued individuals were subsequently transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. The GNFS’s swift response and expertise in rescue operations helped prevent further harm to the victims.
The two trailers involved in the accident sustained significant damage. The GS 7884-18 trailer suffered complete frontal damage, while the JBD 704ZY trailer sustained partial rear damage.
