Community Celebrates Victory as 60-Year-Old Refuse Dump is Cleared

The people of Offinso Sakamkrom in the Ashanti Region are jubilant as their long-standing refuse dump has been cleared after six decades.

The achievement is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the community’s chief and assembly members, led by Hon. Ibrahim Yogo, Assembly Member for Anyinasusuo-Sakamkrom.

Hon. Yogo Ibrahim has commended the community for their patience and persistence, emphasizing the importance of unity in driving development.

He has also appealed to fellow assembly members and leaders to put aside partisan politics and prioritize development for their people.

“We must work together to bring development to our communities,” Hon. Yogo Ibrahim urged.

“I am proud of the progress we have made in Sakamkrom, and I call on others to emulate this spirit of collaboration.”

The clearance of the refuse dump is expected to improve the community’s sanitation and health conditions, and residents are optimistic about the positive impact on their lives.
