Clash Erupts Between Okada Riders and Residents Over Accident Involving Police Officer
A violent confrontation erupted between Okada riders from Omanjor and residents of Ablekuma after a motorbike accident involving a police officer.
The incident occurred when an Okada rider from Omanjor allegedly hit a lactating police officer, Rosemery, who was a pedestrian, near the Ablekuma Fanmilk residence.

The rider and the police officer were rushed to the Mab Hospital at Ablekuma, where the officer received treatment.
However, the situation escalated when friends of the Okada rider arrived at the hospital and took him to a different hospital, leaving the police officer behind.
Residents at Ablekuma Fanmilk seized the motorbike involved in the accident, with registration number M-24-GW 1828.
When the Omanjor Okada Riders attempted to retrieve the motorbike by force, a misunderstanding ensued, leading to a clash between both parties.

Eyewitnesses claim that the Okada rider had been riding without lights for a week, and there have been several accidents on that stretch of road.

They are calling on the Ga Central Municipal Assembly to expedite the construction of the Fanmilk-Sowutuom Road to prevent further accidents due to its poor condition.
