Christians Urged to Live Virtuous Lives as False Teachings Loom.

KUMASI, GHANA – Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kwaku Osei, Assistant Parish Priest of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Kumasi, has cautioned Christians to be wary of false teachings and deeds as they navigate their faith journey.

Speaking at the December 2025 edition of the Faith Rally at the forecourt of Saint Peter Basilica, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Osei Kwaku, guest speaker of the event emphasized the importance of living a virtuous life, citing the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Keeping the Faith and Finishing the race” (2nd Tim 4:1-8).

“The faith, doctrines, and beliefs we hold dear are what our next generation will inherit,” Rev. Fr. Lawrence stressed.

“We must ask ourselves, what are we living for? What will we leave behind for the future generation?”

He urged parents, guardians, and caregivers to be mindful of their actions, as they are the primary role models for their children and wards.

“Our homes are the first schools, and our deeds are what our children learn from us. We can’t give what we don’t have. Let us learn from the good life and deeds of Apostle Peter and Timothy in the scriptures.”

Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kwaku Osei also emphasized the importance of teamwork and perseverance in the faith journey, saying, “We should run the faith race together, embracing the values of love, compassion, and kindness.”

He lamented the current state of the world, questioning what the current generation is living for, and what they will leave behind for the younger generations.

The Faith Rally was well-attended by Christians from various denominations, who gathered to rekindle their faith and hope for a better future.
