Christian Churches in Abuohia Support Muslims with Ramadan Donation to Promote Interfaith Harmony.

In a show of religious tolerance and community solidarity, local churches in the Abuohia Electoral Area in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region have donated assorted food items to the Muslim community at the Kronum-Abuohia Central Mosque to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.

The items, which included bags of sugar and packs of milk, were presented to help Muslims in the community during the fasting period.

The donation was an initiative facilitated by the Assembly Member of Abuohia electoral area Edward Adu- Bobi in collaboration with local churches and community leaders, aimed at strengthening unity and peaceful coexistence among residents of different religious backgrounds.

Speaking on behalf of the Christian clergy in the Abuohia Electoral Area, Elder A.K. Sekyere, representative of the Christian clergy, said the gesture forms part of efforts by the churches to support the Muslim community as they observe Ramadan.

He noted that the act also demonstrates the spirit of love, unity, and mutual respect that exists among residents in the community.

“We believe in supporting one another regardless of religious differences. This donation is to show solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters during this sacred period of fasting,” he said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Muslim community, Chief Baggyi, Secretary of the Muslim community at the Kronum-Abuohia Central Mosque, expressed profound gratitude to the churches and all those who contributed to the initiative.

He described the gesture as a sign of strong interfaith harmony and prayed for blessings for everyone involved.

The Assembly Member for the Abuohia Electoral Area, Edward Adu-Bobi, commended the initiative and urged residents to continue promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among different religious groups in the municipality.
