Chief’s Plea: Santaso Community Yearns for Government Intervention.
The chief of Santaso Kurom, a suburb of Ayinase in the Nzema area, Simon Nana Marfo, has made a heartfelt appeal for support and government intervention to address the deplorable conditions in his school.
Located in the Western Region, Santaso is a sub-community of Eyinase that has been neglected for far too long.

The community’s school infrastructure is in a dire state, with children walking long distances to attend classes in dilapidated buildings.
The junior high school has been partially supported by a local NGO, which constructed a three-classroom block and staff common room.
However, the primary school remains incomplete, with some classrooms unfit for learning.

The community has been forced to recruit local teachers due to the absence of government-posted instructors.
Parents are burdened with soliciting tokens to pay these teachers, while the community struggles to cope with the lack of resources.
The roads are also in a deplorable state, affecting the transportation of crops such as cocoa, food crops, and poultry products.
Chief Simon Nana Marfo is urging the government to turn their attention to the community’s plight and provide the necessary support to improve their living conditions.

The community is pleading for assistance to complete the primary school, provide adequate educational resources, and improve the road infrastructure.
The chief’s appeal highlights the need for government intervention to address the systemic challenges facing the Santaso school. Will the government heed the call and provide the necessary support to uplift this community? Only time will tell.
