Cape Coast Mayor Warns Commercial Drivers: Participate in Clean-up Exercise or Face Vehicle Seizure
The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly has issued a stern warning to commercial drivers and residents, urging them to participate in the upcoming clean-up exercise scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The exercise, which will take place every first Saturday of the month, aims to promote a clean and hygienic environment in the metropolis.
Hon. George Justice Arthur, Mayor of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, emphasized the importance of collective participation in the clean-up exercise, which will run from 6am to 10am.
He stressed that the Assembly is committed to making Cape Coast the cleanest city in the country and urged all citizens to join hands in achieving this goal.
The Mayor warned that commercial drivers who fail to participate in the clean-up exercise risk having their vehicles seized.
This move is part of the Assembly’s efforts to enforce President John Dramani Mahama’s implementation of the National Sanitation Day in the Cape Coast Metropolis.
