BREAKING: Drunkards Association of Ghana Declares One-Week Booze Break to Mourn Notable Figures
In a surprising move, the Beverage Consumers and Bar Owners Association of Ghana, affectionately known as the Drunkards Association of Ghana, has announced a one-week break from alcohol consumption.
The break, which kicks off on November 10 and runs through November 17, 2025, is in honor of recently deceased statesmen, musicians, pastors, and other notable personalities.
According to a statement signed by the association’s president, Moses Onyah, the decision aims to give its estimated 16.7 million members a chance to reflect on their lives and prioritize their health.
“We encourage all members to use this opportunity to undergo medical screening and ensure their well-being,” Onyah said.
The association’s gesture has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the move as a thoughtful tribute and others questioning the potential impact on the country’s vibrant nightlife.
