Bagbin condemned the lack of accountability, describing it as disappointing and unacceptable. He questioned how none of the MPs, particularly those on the Majority side, could identify the culprit despite the comment being made openly.

“The investigations are still not concluded, but to be frank with you, I am very disappointed with all of you,” Bagbin said.

“A member seated in this House with all colleagues around uttered those words, and no single colleague can pinpoint who it was. Even among the three of you seated together — the zone is on the three — none can say who said it.”

The Speaker also raised concerns about the failure of the House’s surveillance systems to capture the offending MP.

“The Majority members, with your numbers watching the Minority — you are telling me none of you can identify the person who spoke? The person spoke not once, but twice, and even the Minority Leader turned in that direction, yet still no identification?” Bagbin asked.
