Asante Mampong Fire Station Besieged by Grieving Widow
Tensions flared at the Asante Mampong Fire Service station when a grieving widow stormed the premises, hurling curses at personnel.
She accused them of causing her husband’s death in a recent accident involving a fire tender.
The accident occurred about a month ago during the funeral rites of the Asante Mamponghene.
Fire officers were responding to a distress call when their vehicle collided with a car carrying the woman and her husband. Although initial reports indicated that the husband didn’t sustain serious injuries, he reportedly died a few days later.
The widow, blaming the fire officers for her husband’s death, visited the station in anger, invoking curses and demanding accountability.
The incident has raised concerns about the emotional toll on families affected by such accidents.
