Archbishop Anokye delivered a lengthy address on the theme, drawing inspiration from the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga. The Archbishop emphasized the importance of putting God first, citing St. Aloysius’ decision to serve God as a Jesuit, giving up wealth and comfort. He also stressed the need for purity, self-discipline, and selfless service, as exemplified by St. Aloysius’ care for the sick and dying during a plague in Rome.

The special guest, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, MP for Bantama Constituency, expressed concern about the rampant use of drugs in educational institutions. He highlighted the effects of drug abuse, including declining academic performance, increased school dropouts, and long-term health problems.
He called for education and awareness campaigns, stronger guidance and counseling services, parental involvement, and stricter enforcement of school rules to combat the issue.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of faith, values, and responsible behavior among young people.
The Archbishop’s visit and the MP’s concerns underscore the need for collective efforts to support the spiritual and moral development of students and address pressing issues affecting their well-being.
