Archbishop Anokye Calls for an End to Homosexuality, Galamsey, and Media Abuse
The Kumasi Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Church, Most Reverend Gabriel Anokye, has urged Ghanaians to reject behaviors that hinder national progress and divide the people.
Speaking at the Ashanti regional commemoration of Ghana’s first National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, Archbishop Anokye specifically mentioned homosexuality, galamsey, and media abuse as issues that should no longer be tolerated.
Archbishop Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye emphasized the need for Ghanaians to embrace justice, solidarity, hard work, respect, and humility.
He expressed hope for lasting peace in Bawku, allowing residents to engage in lawful activities without fear of attack.
The Archbishop’s call to action was made during the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, which brought together hundreds of Christians and Muslims from various denominations.
The event, themed “Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity,” featured prayers for national development, peace, and security.
