AngloGold Ashanti Breaks Ground for Obuasi ETS Road Project.
AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine has cut the sod to commence the construction of a new road linking Obuasi ETS, aimed at easing traffic congestion in the Obuasi Municipality. This project is part of the company’s 10-year Socio-economic Development Plan.
The road construction project is expected to be completed within approximately three months. According to the Managing Director of AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, Mr. Samuel Boakye Pobi, the road will be of high quality and will include beautification around the Obuasi ETS roundabout.

She urged the company to also prioritize employing indigenes from Obuasi and its environs to help curb the unemployment rate in the area.
