Akokofe Krontihene, Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II has expressed disappointment and concern over the high number of students who failed their WAEC exams in 2025.
He urged Ghanaians to put aside political differences and work together to address the issue, emphasizing that the current situation is a national concern that requires collective effort.
In a statement, Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II lamented that Ghana’s educational institutions are subpar and in need of improvement.
He advocated for a shift in focus towards Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to provide students with practical skills and encouraged parents to guide their children towards this path.
The traditional leader also expressed concern about the negative impact of social media on students, citing instances of unacceptable behavior that detract from their academic pursuits.
He called on parents to monitor their children’s online activities and set boundaries to ensure they stay focused on their education.
Additionally, Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II spoke out against the ban on corporal punishment in schools, suggesting that it is necessary for maintaining discipline and order in the classroom.
