Religious Women Benefit from Workshop on Communication and Social Media
A two-day workshop on communication, digital, and social media was successfully concluded, thanks to the efforts of Rev. Fr. Peter Konteh, Director of Communications, Archdiocese of Freetown, and his team.
The workshop was an eye-opener for the participants, particularly those who were not familiar with the power of social media.
The workshop covered the advantages and disadvantages of social media, as well as its effective utilization.
Fr. Konteh emphasized that social media is a double-edged sword that can be used to spread the Good News and connect with others, but can also be misleading and cause distractions.
He stressed the importance of being mindful of the potential dangers of social media and using it responsibly.
On the second day, Mr. Alfred Sankoh, a member of the communications team, helped the participants understand how to use digital media to spread the Gospel and promote their Congregation’s work.
The workshop highlighted the need for religious women to be aware of the potential risks and benefits of social media and to use it effectively in their evangelization effort.
The participants expressed their gratitude to Fr. Konteh, Mr. Sankoh, and the entire communication team from the Archdiocese of Freetown for their input and guidance.
The workshop was seen as a valuable opportunity for the participants to learn and grow in their understanding of social media and its role in evangelization.
