The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwifery Association (ASHBA) has launched the second edition of its inter-colleges quiz competition, themed “Empowering Future Healthcare Leaders.”

The event, held at  Ashanti-Regional secretariat and guesthouse Ejisu  krapa , brought together trainee nurses and midwives from various institutions to showcase their skills, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.

In her keynote address, Grace Animah Amoateng, Immediate Past Secretary of ASHBA, emphasized the importance of competitive learning in advancing nursing and midwifery education.

She highlighted that the quiz competition aims to empower future healthcare leaders by enhancing their clinical skills, decision-making abilities, and evidence-based practice.

The initiative’s vision is to create a platform where trainee nurses and midwives can demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and teamwork abilities, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and healthy competition.

The expected outcomes include improved patient care and outcomes, development of future leaders in nursing and midwifery, and promotion of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The quiz competition serves as a catalyst for greatness, inspiring and motivating trainees to strive for excellence in their fields.

ASHBA’s commitment to empowering future healthcare leaders is evident in its efforts to provide a platform for trainees to excel and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The launch of the second edition of the inter-colleges quiz competition marks a significant milestone in ASHBA’s pursuit of excellence in nursing and midwifery education.
