Mental Health Education for Students: 750 Freshmen Benefit from Interactive Session at Saint Jerome SHS

The Michael Kyei Baffour Psychiatric Mental Health Unit at Abofour Health Center recently organized an impactful mental health education session for approximately 750 first-year students at Saint Jerome Senior High School in Abofour, Offinso South Municipal, Ashanti Region.

During the orientation program for freshmen, the team delivered a comprehensive presentation covering mental health, mental conditions, drug abuse, student mental health, and epilepsy first aid management.

The primary goal was to equip students with knowledge on maintaining good mental health and identifying potential threats to their well-being.

This initiative underscores the team’s commitment to promoting mental health awareness and education among students.

By empowering young minds with essential knowledge, the Michael Kyei Baffour Psychiatric Mental Health Unit aims to foster a supportive environment that encourages students to prioritize their mental health.

The session is part of the unit’s broader effort to educate more students on mental health and drug abuse within the municipal and beyond.
