2020 batch nurses, midwives complain over unpaid arrears.

2020 Nurses and Midwives across Ghana have launched a desperate appeal to the government to them eight months of their arrears.

Speaking at a press conference in kumasi, the National Organizer of Coalition of Unpaid nurses and Midwives Nana Agyei Sikapa said, Some nurses have not received salaries for up to 8 months, leading to financial strain and hardship.

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has been actively involved in addressing these issues, including engaging with the government and threatening further action if the situation is not resolved.

“The non-payment of salaries and allowances has created significant financial hardship for these nurses and midwives, impacting their ability to meet basic needs and manage their finances. Some have even faced pressure from landlords and creditors.Nana Agyei Sikapa Said.

The nurses are demanding the immediate payment of all outstanding salaries or face their wrath.
